'The Butler' bests 'Kick-Ass 2,' others at box office
Sun Aug 18, 2013
The move was 2 hours and Jane Fonda was only in for less than 5 minutes, people get over it! It was an amazing movie, and probably one of the best I've seen in a long time. Doesn't really matter how much it made opening weekend. I've seen movies that are complete waste of time and money, break …
Long-distance love may be stronger than you think, new study says

My husband husband and I have been married for 3 1/2 years together for 9 1/2, only 1 week of that did we work in the same state. His job requires him to move around a lot, he's usually only at one place for 12-18 months. We talk at least 2-3 times a day and facetime a lot. I also rack up the miles …
Toomey: Background check plan failed because of Republican politics
Wed May 1, 2013
First of all, the majority of this country did not want this legislation to pass .Stop into any sporting goods store and you'll see proof of that. Second, there are already enough gun laws on the books. New gun laws are not going to prevent people getting shot. You can't regulate stupid and gang ban …

Here's the skinny: Diets are becoming passé
Sat Jan 12, 2013
I have lost 60lbs in the past year and it's taken me most of the year to do this. I did not go on a "diet" I just started exercising and make better food choices. The hard part is maintaining the weight. I still eat pizza once in a while and even do the fast food thing sometimes.

Fri Jan 4, 2013
I love MyFitnessPal both the app and the website. I have lost 60lbs in about a year. I love the fact it keeps track of not only calories but carbs and sugars. It keeps me accountable and helps me plan.
For teachers, school security jumps to forefront after Newtown shootings
Tue Dec 18, 2012
I am a substitute teacher and have a concealed weapons permit. I would never under any circumstances bring a weapon to school. A loaded unlock gun is never safe around children.
In Florida and Illinois, concealed-weapons debate lays bare the politics of gun control
Thu Dec 13, 2012
I am a girl and I have a 2 concealed weapons permits, and I'm going to take the Utah class after the first of the year. In order to be covered in all states except California and Illinois. California gun laws are extremely restrictive especially for nonresidents.
Verizon best, AT
Thu Nov 29, 2012
I have had Verizon, Sprint and currently have AT&T. I wouldn't go back to Verizon if they gave me free service for the rest of my life. I have been burned by them twice. I live in a rural area, if you look on a cell service map of any carrier we shouldn't have service.
Apple's Map mea culpa dings company's sterling image
Fri Sep 28, 2012
Rarely used google maps. Like mapquest much better and gives you turn by turn directions, plus I own a gps that doesn't use data. This probably would not have happened under Steve Jobs, however he's no longer here. With any new software there is most like going to be a glitch.

Should restaurants have the right to ban 'screaming children'?
Do you believe in the only child syndrome?
No. It’s entirely subjective. Every child is different.
I think "only child snydrome" is more the parent issue than a childs problem. When parents treat their kids like the center of the universe the kids will expect it. My son was an only child, he has always had plenty of friends.
